Robert A. Weygand, vice president for administration and finance, has served over eighteen years in higher education including being on the faculty and director of the University of Rhode Island Masters of Public Administration program. He was previously the vice president for administration and finance at URI and prior to that the president and CEO of the New England Board of Higher Education in Boston. He is a former U.S. Congressman and Rhode Island lieutenant governor. In Congress Weygand served on both the Budget Committee and the Banking and Financial Services Committee. He is a landscape architect and was elected a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects by his peers. Weygand has served on numerous boards and commissions which foster mentoring, environmentalism and community advocacy. He frequently lectures on public administration, ethics, American politics and public policy and has presented to many national and international organizations and government leaders. Weygand holds four degrees from the University of Rhode Island including BFA, BS, MA and MPA.
