Aquidneck Island Scholarship

College Unbound is now accepting applications for part-time study. Twenty qualified students will receive merit scholarships of $5,000 to cover the first two years of College Unbound. The program is structured for one three-credit course per semester. 

Applicants must demonstrate:

Minimum college GPA of 2.0

Minimum of nine (9) college credits (three in Writing/Composition)

Fewer than 90 college credits

Adequate college-readiness skills

Commitment to College Unbound and completing your degree

Award

The $5,000 scholarship award covers tuition for one three-credit course taken during four semesters of study. Each recipient must remain in good standing each semester in order to receive the scholarship in its entirety.

Requirements of the Award

• Completed application along with official transcripts and $50 refundable Application Fee are accepted on a rolling basis, meaning there is no hard deadline.

• Maintain good academic standing.

• Attend weekly seminar

• Attend weekly 1:1 meeting with Academic Advisor(in person or via video conferencing).

• Maintain and implement a Personal Learning Plan.

• Develop and maintain a Personal Learning Network.

• Participate in program review.

• Participate in program press and documentation.
