I was born and raised in Providence, RI. I am the proud mother of four young ladies. I work a full-time job and my kids are in all kinds of activities after school. I didn’t think I had time to go back to school full-time. When I heard of College Unbound, I knew that this was the road for me.
Growing up, I always had a passion to help the youth in my community. I wanted to open an organization for adolescents who would age out of the foster care system. College Unbound made my passion come true. In 2017, my organization opened. It is called, Can You Hear Me Now?
This has been a great journey for me and my family. I would like to thank all of my friends and advisors at College Unbound. I would like to give a huge thanks to my family. All of you were a great support to me. I also want to thank my mom who is no longer with us. She passed away on May 2, 2018. She was my biggest supporter and I will continue to make her proud of me. I love you Mom.
