The William Holland Scholarship is awarded each year to an individual who has demonstrated special leadership in their projects or in comparable activities in their communities.
We are pleased to announce that this year’s William Holland Scholarship has been awarded to Nathaly Fernandez.
Nathaly has been an aspirational leader who actively engages with her peers and produces superb work. Her Leadership and Change project aims to leverage fashion consulting to help unemployed mentally disabled individuals build confidence and express themselves.
William Holland is the Chair Emeritus of College Unbound’s Board of Trustees. He has had a long and distinguished career as a school principal, superintendent, professor and Commissioner of Higher Education in Rhode Island. The scholarship was created by his friends and colleagues to honor that work.
