COVID-19 Update
As of March 12th, 2020, no College Unbound community member has been diagnosed with COVID-19. We are looking for ways to remain a supportive and active community despite the unexpected moment.
We encourage our students to exercise care, and to please stay home from work if you are feeling unwell. This is a time for compassion, resilience, and, as always, continued learning.
In response to growing health concerns regarding Coronavirus, College Unbound has enacted the following protocol:
- Beginning March 16th all classes will switch to an online format. We understand this may be for the remainder of the semester but we will regularly check in with updates in the hopes that we can return to in-person instruction for the second half of the term.
- All World and Workplace Lab classes will meet at their scheduled times online using Google Meet phone and/or video connections. Faculty will contact students about how to join their classes by the end of day Monday the 16th. Please continue to rely on your cohorts and your Lab Faculty for consistent interaction, care, and project development.
- As of March 17, College Unbound in-person Public Exhibitions are canceled. See ways to host your exhibitions online.
- The College is taking measures to ensure all students have access to computers and Internet. If you are a College Unbound student seeking any technological support, please contact [email protected].

What will happen after Spring Break?
After Spring Break, classes will resume in online formats at your normally scheduled time.
I don’t have a computer or access to the Internet. What do I do?
Please contact [email protected] immediately. College Unbound is committed to ensuring all students can continue to engage with class. We’ll help you get the right tools.
Will all my classes be online?
Yes.
Will Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday nights still be happening?
Your Lab Faculty Instructor will send a Google Hangout link for you to join class via phone or internet.
Are Saturday Study Halls still happening?
Yes! Study Halls will now be meeting virtually from 11 am to 2 pm on the following Saturdays: 3/28, 4/4, 4/18, 5/2, and 5/9. The link to join a Study Hall will be sent out to students over email by the provost’s office.
Does this affect my financial aid?
No. By participating actively in these classes and in the lab online you are fulfilling the requirements of being an enrolled student.
How do I access support if I need it?
For any concern, please contact [email protected] and/or reach out to your lab faculty directly. Also, if you have any emergency support needs, please also dial 211 for United Way’s support line and mention you are a College Unbound student.
I’m planning on graduating. What about Capstone and graduation plans? As of now-- Graduation is still 11am May 30th!!! Currently, graduation plans are going forward as previously planned. Your Capstone instructors will keep you up-to-date about any changes in those plans and the schedule for Capstone. The in-person Capstone workshops will now happen online at the same times.
Is our upcoming NECHE accreditation visit still happening?
Our NECHE site visit has been delayed to June. Thank you to all students and faculty who volunteered to participate in the visit -- it will still happen, just with slight delay!
